What do I need to use GetMy Books?
A UK limited company on Xero, your own Claude plan, and bank statement files from your bank (CSV, OFX or QIF). You add GetMy Books to Claude as a connector.
Does GetMy Books change my books?
Only when you approve it. Each proposed change is shown in a preview card in Claude, and nothing is written to Xero until you press Approve.
Does it file my VAT return or accounts?
No. GetMy Books files nothing with HMRC or Companies House. It checks the figures; you or your accountant file.
Is it advice?
No. It is a software tool you run yourself. Each finding shows the records behind it so you can confirm it in Xero. No human reviews your books.
Does it connect to my bank?
No. You download statement files from your bank and give them to GetMy Books. It never connects to a bank.
